  The Polyblock Building System

The blocks have a tongue-and-groove configuration on the tops, bottoms and ends, allowing them to be stacked and aligned quickly without mortar. Polyblock structural walls replace conventional load-bearing walls below and above grade. The system allows basements, foundations and upper walls to be engineered and built up to three stories high.

During construction, reinforcement bar and concrete placed in some of the vertical cores (normally on 16-inch centers) and in horizontal bond-beam and lintel blocks form a steel-reinforced concrete grid as the structural members of the building. The Polyblocks remain in place to provide high-efficiency insulation.

The Polyblock Building System is compatible with a variety of commonly used interior or exterior finishing materials. The completed structure looks conventional but is exceptionally quiet, energy efficient, strong, and safe from dry rot, termites and other pests.
